A Metropolitan Driving School, LLC was founded in 1976 by Bradford Jordan. His vision was to offer the Metro-Richmond area a driving school that provides a clean, safe learning environment while delivering the best in teaching. Our driving school has maintained this standard throughout the years. We are experts in teaching confidence, defensiveness, and alertness. A Metropolitan Driving School puts you first.
Our instructors are state-certified in their areas of instruction; our main goal is safety. We strive to provide you with accurate and up-to-date information on laws, driving techniques, and the latest in technology and equipment.
For 50 proud years, we’ve had the honor of serving the Metro-Richmond area as its oldest driving school. A Metropolitan Driving School honors its legacy rooted in tradition, embraces innovation, and is driven by purpose. As a veteran and family-owned business, our legacy is built on dedication, safety, and community trust. We’re more than just instructors; we’re neighbors, mentors, and advocates for responsible driving. And as we celebrate this milestone, we remain committed to being a lasting, reliable presence in the lives of those we serve.
Our Community Initiative
A Metropolitan Driving School, LLC has taken a personal charge to provide domestic violence victims with the knowledge and skills required to gain a driver’s license. We began this initiative in 2007 after listening to the story of a domestic violence victim. This has compelled us to give back to our community. A Metropolitan Driving School realizes that a driver’s license is a symbol of freedom and independence that will allow anyone to travel to their destiny. Many victims of domestic violence admit that it is difficult to escape an abusive household due to a lack of mobility. A Metropolitan Driving School would like to empower those in need with the tools they need to succeed. If you are a part of an organization that involves supporting domestic violence victims, please contact us. If you are an organization that is interested in working with us or would like to donate to support our initiative, we would love to hear from you, too.
